Immunize Your Business

Immunize Your Business

Did you know I'm a wellness consultant with Arbonne? I've been since 2020, and a homebirther, homesteader, homemaker, and home business owner that fuels my life with sustainable practices to thrive in my own body.?

?

I made a fermented honey & garlic medicine yesterday to fend off the cold & flu season coming up, and my daughter has been sick all weekend with some icky flu.?

?

I know at least 3 other families who are staying in on this gorgeously sunny and warm weekend because they are sick as well, and I can only imagine the business owners out of those groups who are stressing about what being sick is going to do to their productivity this week.

?

Fortunately, we knew exactly how to get through it using food as medicine, and she's better today because of it!?

?

This wasn't always the case for me: being healthy & knowing how to heal, that is.?

?

In 2018, I was binge drinking every weekend, barely nourished, and running on fumes with working habits that had me sick and burnt out constantly.?

?

The change happened when I decided to immunize myself with holistic wellness, starting with my first visit of care with Dr. Katie Ray of New Day, a network chiropractic office in Chicago.?

?

After being a part of her community for some time, I was able to get pregnant after trying for almost 5 years without luck, I was eating better, feeling better, cut out the drinking (obviously!) and starting to lead the way into wellness.?

?

The result was that my baby was born healthily, my business was thriving, and I was on top of my game mentally, physically, and emotionally to handle the stressors to come with our house flood soon after.?

?

And being healthy is a direct impact on the success of my business.?

?

Money that I make when I'm feeling great is promised, while it is also completely expected that money goes away and clients drop when I'm frazzled, stuck, and struggling in my mind/body connection.

?

Long story short, if I didn't find a way to immunize myself with chiropractic care, meditation, exercise, and nutrition-packed wellness supplements and a diet that was built into my life, my business easily would have crumbled under the stress as a result.?

?5 Areas to consider to Immunize Your Business (all of these are included this week at CEO Days during our workshop!)

  1. MIND Your ability to process information, come up with creative ideas, and to think critically through problems and challenges is all part of running a business. Without a clear mind, you will struggle and suffer through these inevitable tasks, so having a fresh, clear mind is part of the care you need to immunize your business! ?
  2. BODY Sleep, nourishment, drinking water, and sitting without tension at your desk are things that entrepreneurs love to avoid when they are stressed. But, stressors like this directly impact your ability to keep going, perform, and demand your next level out of you! ?
  3. SPIRIT What you believe in, who you believe you are, and what purpose you are put on this planet to have is part of your spirit. The impact you want to make and being clear about this and your vision is directly impacted by your spiritual care.? ?
  4. EMOTION The way you feel is a result of the actions you've taken (or not). It's also chemical, situational, and part of your hormonal balances & imbalances. The way you feel also impacts your ability to take action or stay stuck.? ?
  5. BUSINESS CARE Attending ongoing accountability groups and workshops, such as CEO Days, is a fantastic way to immunize your business with the self-care it needs when you work ON your business.

All of these areas are part of the CEO Days September event, “Serving Yourself Serves Others ” and is a great way to start immunizing your business!?

I'm looking forward to this workshop on Thursday Dana! This is an area that business owners often leave out or save for last and don't get around to. You can't show up for others at your best if you're running on empty yourself.
