Immitranslate Interview with Ian Hawes
Ian Almasi
*Immigration Intake* Helping immigration attorneys save time and headache while helping more immigrants get what they really want.
I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Ian Hawes, founder and CEO of Immitranslate. Immitranslate is a software tool that provides certified translations for Immigration cases.?
During my conversation with Ian we touched on a couple different topics relating to immigration law solutions, software integrations, and the origins of his company.?
Immitranslate has been around since 2014, when after a certain level of push-back from Ian himself, he agreed with his co-founder to start their own tech business offering certified translations to individuals going through the immigration process on their own.?
The idea had stemmed from Hawe’s co-founder’s own experience filing a K-1 Visa, for his then fiancee, now wife. They were frustrated because even though she had the ability to accurately translate her own documents, she was not allowed to do so by USCIS standards.?
Since the inception of Immitranslate the company has successfully grown into what it is today, offering integrations with other case management tools to make getting certified document translations easier than ever.?
A point that Ian and I touched on throughout our talk was the importance of offering software integrations, and shopping around for tools that are constantly evolving and updating. Always looking for ways to improve and offer new features.?
This is what he is doing with his own company, working on different ways that Immitranslate can provide the best customer experience by optimizing their translation processes and including AI analyzers.?
