?? USCIS rolls out Premium Processing for certain F-1 OPT students
New grads and employers rejoice!?USCIS will now accept Premium Processing (Form I-907) requests, filed either via paper form or online, for certain F-1 students who already have a?pending?Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization?if they are filing under one of the following categories:?
On April 3, USCIS will accept Premium Processing requests, filed via paper form or online, for F-1 students in the above categories?when filed with Form I-765. Premium processing costs $1,500 for a 30-day expedited service. OPT holders can use their visas to?work for startups.?
?? USCIS issues clarifications for O-1B visas?
After public comments, USCIS has improved the language around eligibility for O-1B visas.?O-1B visa holders?are immigrants of extraordinary ability in the arts and/or extraordinary achievement in the motion picture or television industry.

The O-1B manual provided vague and subjective guidelines for officers, resulting in many denials and Requests for Evidence. USCIS has added an?appendix?to help quell uncertainty and improve processing times. This is welcome news to rockstars, actors, and entertainers around the world looking to invest their art in the United States.?
???Employers and attorneys face access issues for the H-1B lottery
Attorneys and company representatives are facing?problems?with the online portal. The system does not seem to accept the employer’s unique passcode to verify H-1B registrations. Many are also frustrated by the lack of responsiveness by USCIS.?

The Mintz law firm offers the following advice for employer representatives who cannot access their registrations via their unique passcode:
USCIS has not extended the H-1B deadline despite technical difficulties. Applicants are encouraged to resolve these issues expeditiously before the March 17th deadline.?
