Immigrant Crisis in the USA.
Unimaginable suffering the illegal immigrants face as they struggle to find peace, economic safety, and existential relevance in their plight... Unimaginable pain and suffering... God bless their soul.
As of July 2023, the estimated population of undocumented immigrants in the United States was 11.7 million. This represents an increase from previous years, including 11.0 million in 2022 and 10.99 million in 2022 as reported by other sources. These figures reflect a gradual rise following a decline during the late 2000s and early 2010s, with the peak previously recorded at 12.2 million in 2007.? So, where do they come from?? Why do they come to the USA?? Where are they in the USA?? What are the realistic costs of illegal immigrants in the USA??? Setting aside emotions of illegal immigrant plights, what are the real factors behind the movements? Hmmmmm.
The realistic cost of illegal immigrants in the USA is a complex issue with varying estimates depending on the perspective and methodology used. Here are some key points to consider:
I.???Costs Associated with Illegal Immigration.?
1. Annual Net Cost: ?????According to the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), the net annual cost of illegal immigration is estimated at $150.7 billion, after accounting for $31 billion in taxes paid by undocumented immigrants. This figure includes costs such as emergency medical care, incarceration, and welfare...?????
2. Gross Annual Costs: Before accounting for taxes paid by undocumented immigrants, the gross annual costs are estimated at $182 billion.
3. Cost per Undocumented Immigrant: ?????Each undocumented immigrant, including their U.S.-born children, is estimated to cost the U.S. approximately $8,776 annually.
II.???Economic Contributions of Undocumented Immigrants
1.??Taxes Paid: ?????Undocumented immigrants contribute significantly to the U.S. economy through taxes. They pay billions in state and local taxes, including personal income taxes, property taxes, and sales taxes29. In 2010, households headed by unauthorized immigrants paid $10.6 billion in state and local taxes.
2.??Labor Force Contributions: ?????Undocumented immigrants play crucial roles in sectors like agriculture, construction, and food preparation, contributing to economic growth and stability.
3.???Social Security and Medicare Contributions: Undocumented immigrants also contribute to Social Security and Medicare through payroll taxes, even though they are ineligible for these benefits.
?
III.????Costs of Mass Deportation.
1.??Initial Costs: ?????A one-time mass deportation operation could cost at least $315 billion, including costs for arrests, detention, legal processing, and removals.
2.??Annual Costs: ?????Deporting one million immigrants annually would incur an estimated annual cost of $88 billion, primarily for detention and related infrastructure.

2 周very important issue from both sides - the individuals and the federal government, S.Vincent... if you can easily sign for a delivered package, the federal government should be able to use similar technology to to start the process of immigration for everyone who wants to become a citizen as soon as they enter the border sites - the majority of the people who come here to gain a better life (they gave up everything to get here) should be welcomed and the process should not take years because of bureaucracy...
