Our founder, Camilla Laxton, took on the role of UK Production Manager for the English original audio drama, adapted by Anna Lea and directed by the award winning Kate Jones.

Camilla Laxton made use of her extensive knowledge of the many aspects of audio production in helping coordinate the recording and post-production process in the UK, together with a close-knit team of audio experts and an ensemble of incredibly talented actors.
She was also at hand to support with the handover to the localisation partners: 1984 is Storytel’s first global audio drama and was subsequently dubbed into 10 languages and released in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Poland, Netherlands, Bulgaria, Turkey, Italy, Spain and Mexico.
The entire cast and crew are incredibly proud of ‘1984.’ It evokes the need for truth, freedom, peace, hope and humanity and holds a special place in the heart of all those involved.
