The round-up of last week’s additive manufacturing news includes successful accomplishment of AMTECH 2023 with over 2000+ visitors participating at the event; Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT) & Lokesh Machines Limited eveloped Hybrid DED Machine launched at AMTECH 2023; Immensa raises US$20 million funding and much more.
With more than 2000+ delegates, 70+ exhibitors, government and private stakeholders, AMTECH 2023 was successful in bringing in the additive manufacturing ecosystem together at Hitex Exhibition Center, Hyderabad. The special focus at the event was the innovation zone, where delegates experienced the application of AM in space, drone and shoes technology. In addition to this, the German Pavilion at AMTECH 2023 helped to connect the German and Indian AM communities. The machine and product launches also were appreciated by the stakeholders at the event, show casing the growth of Indian AM space.
In a pioneering move to address the scarcity of metal 3D printer machines in the Indian market, @AIC Pi - Hub — the Incubation Centre of Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT), Indore has developed a metal 3D printing machine with Lokesh Machines Limited Hyderabad. The machine was launched at AMTECH 2023
Immensa, MENA’s largest additive manufacturing startup, announces a US$20 million funding round. The round was led by Global Ventures – MENA’s leading venture capital firm.
In a new project led by Michael Rivera, an assistant professor in the?ATLAS Institute?and?Department of Computer Science at the 美国科罗拉多大学博尔德分校 , their team developed a method for 3D printing a wide range of objects using a paste made entirely out of old coffee grounds, water and a few other sustainable ingredients.
