October 25, 2024 – San Diego, CA – Resilient Features is proud to announce that the highly anticipated The WOMEN IN SECURITY Documentary is on track for completion in early 2025. This groundbreaking film explores the stories of pioneering women in the security profession and their allies, spanning over four generations. Through their experiences, the documentary highlights both the progress and ongoing challenges within a traditionally male-dominated field.

Executive Producer Richard Ticho states, “We’re honored to tell these important stories, celebrating the achievements of women who have shaped the security industry. While the field has come a long way, there’s still a need for greater gender equity. This documentary aims to inspire future generations, accelerate change, and highlight the key role women continue to play in keeping our world safe.”

The WOMEN IN SECURITY Documentary follows industry trailblazers such as Bonnie Michelman, CPP, CHPA and Victoria Ekhomu D.Sc.,MPA,CPP,PFSO, FIMC, AMB, FAISSON , whose powerful stories showcase the critical roles they’ve played, from addressing global crises to overcoming personal hardships. The documentary is not only a celebration of their accomplishments but also a call to action for continued efforts toward gender diversity.

Resilient Features has already completed over two dozen interviews and filmed multiple keynotes, panel discussions, and podcasts, capturing valuable insights into the evolving security landscape.

The film aims to achieve several key goals:

Inspire new generations to pursue careers in security.
Celebrate the achievements of women leaders who have paved the way.
Accelerate progress toward closing the gender gap in the industry.
Empower current professionals through mentorship and advocacy.
Build a network of allies and advocates committed to cultural transformation.
