Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery
Nordea’s announcement to enter the equity crowdfunding market is great news. It validates the market in which Invesdor is a leader and pushes us to be better.
Let’s get this out of the way: competition is great. It drives us all to try harder, resulting in better quality of service for customers, more choices for investors and more innovation in processes and technology. Equity crowdfunding is in many EU countries nowadays a regulated business, and the need for licences and permits can have a throttling effect on competition.
Now imagine my enthusiasm when I heard one of the largest competitors imaginable, the biggest bank in the Nordics, Nordea, is entering the market with its own equity crowdfunding platform.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. The fact that a bank of Nordea’s scale has decided to enter the market by developing their own platform – a considerable commitment from a traditional bank – is a clear signal that we are onto something.
We’re not afraid; this is what we have been waiting for. Big players grow the market where we have a leading position. Now it’s up to us to outmaneuver them. It’s truly an exciting time to be in this industry.
Want to join the ride? Invesdor’s equity offering of 2016 is now open, and already more than a hundred investors including the most innovative Finnish wealth management firm, Taaleri Oyj have invested. In fact, our offering reached 840,000 EUR during its first 24 hours public. See the materials and invest at Invesdor.com/invesdor2016

8 年Last week we had graduate fashion week in China and Alto University presented young designers. I showed them our fashion maker kits www.360fash.com It was clear to me Finland fashion is a good target for our product. With a legacy of tech and great design, Finland should be pumping out the hardware and wearables. But no... always the same story...the creatives cannot code and dont solder. So thats why we made the kits. All the fashion designers loved them!
