Research and Analysis On the Use of AI in Education?

GSCE Results?
Over a million students celebrated receiving GCSE and vocational qualification results on Thursday 22 August, as young people across the country prepare to move on to the next stage of their education. We saw that technical awards - which 43% of students last year took alongside GCSEs – play an important role in accessing the next stage of education.??
It All Starts With Skills?
The resource developed by government to help people understand the support available to help them develop their skills has been updated, with added forms for adults and young people to share their stories. The Department for Education’s Skills for Life campaign ‘It all starts with skills’ invites young people, adults and businesses to make the most of their potential by engaging in a range of government skills and technical education offers.?
Skills England Updates
The Apprenticeship Growth Pilot
The Apprenticeship Growth Pilot is underway. Training providers will not automatically receive funds through the pilot even if they are eligible. To access the pilot, providers are required to confirm their participation by signing a contract variation.?
For those who wish to claim funding in FY 24/25 based on projected starts for an eligible standard, you will need to submit spend plans.???
The forms will need to be completed within a three-week window, from Monday 19 August, and will be made available via your Department for Education sign-in account for DfE online services.?
Training providers will have until Monday 9 September to sign the contract variation and submit spend plans. Find out more here.?

Support for Apprentices With a Learning Difficulty or Disability
Government have published new guidance on English and maths flexibilities for apprentices with learning difficulties and disabilities. Providers now have more flexibility to make lower-level English and maths qualifications available when an apprentice does not have an education, health and care plan.
