If you could choose any superpower to help you navigate IMEX, what would it be and why?

Cynthia Lavery Destination DC, CSI DMC: Booth #C4025

The No Sleep Needed Superpower! IMEX is a whirlwind of activities, buzzing with endless appointments, Happy Hours, Dinners, and Afterparties. With so many events packed into each day, it feels impossible to experience everything on your agenda. Imagine having the ability to stay energized and alert without needing any sleep—this superpower would let you make the most out of every single moment at IMEX, ensuring you never miss out on an opportunity or connection.

Cara Pratt, CMP, DMCP Meet Boston, CSI DMC: Booth #C4431

Teleportation! There are so many places to be and people to see, I wish I could snap my fingers and be across the tradeshow floor or go from one evening event to the next in a matter of seconds!

Vanessa Doval, CMP Greater Miami CVB, CSI DMC: Booth #C4417

If I could choose any superpower to help me navigate IMEX, it would be a toss-up between flying and reading minds. Flying would allow me to effortlessly move from one meeting to another, saving time and energy that would otherwise be spent on walking through the large trade show floor. On the other hand, the ability to read minds would be incredibly valuable for understanding the needs of buyers, ensuring that my conversations are highly relevant and impactful.

Leslie Wulfemeyer-Gilfillan, CIS San Diego Tourism Authority, CSI DMC: Booth #D2953

My superpower at IMEX would be Time Travel! By jumping through time, I could attend multiple sessions without missing a single moment. I could meet and revisit important clients to make the best impressions. I could gather endless information and insights from the conference, then travel back to the beginning and use it to ask more informed questions. Finally, the best part about time travel would be unlimited dessert bar trips without judgment!

Lynda Baum CSI International: Booth #C3739

It would be the ability to instantly teleport. With teleportation, I could effortlessly move between our International DMC booths and our own CSI DMC booth. Until that’s a possibility, I am grateful for our adidas footwear this year.

What's your go-to strategy for making meaningful connections at large events like IMEX?

Brittany Rustman CSI International: Booth #C3739

It is amazing what a genuine smile and eye contact will do when meeting new people. Follow this up with active listening and taking note of what is important to the person you are meeting with. Don’t be afraid to engage someone new in conversation as you never know where that interaction might lead in the future!

If our company were an animal, which one would it be and why?

Their friendly, approachable nature fosters trust and builds strong relationships, much like how we work to create meaningful connections with clients and colleagues. Just as you can count on a Golden Retriever to be there through thick and thin, we share the same unwavering commitment to mutual success.

Can you share a fun fact about yourself that most people wouldn't know?

Heidi Baker CSI DMC: Booth #C3739

Before working in events, I was in the music business for almost 20 years where I worked as a music video rep for most of my career. While I was in the music industry, I worked with lots of artists including - Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton, Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson.

Brooke Snyder Destination Colorado, CSI DMC: Booth #C4816

I am a yoga teacher and have completed a 500-hour yoga teacher training. I began practicing yoga when I was about 12 years old with my aunt, who would travel for yoga retreats across the country. ?After practicing for over 20 years, I finally took my first 200-hour yoga teacher training while living in Venice Beach, CA. ?I am still very passionate about yoga and meditation and practice regularly, although I am not currently teaching.
