This app is bringing blue bubbles to Android
Android users, it’s time to enter the promised land of blue chat bubbles. No longer will your iPhone friends laugh from atop their ivory towers when you text them.
Beeper Mini?launched yesterday to finally share the joy of blue bubbles with the Android masses. It’s a stand-alone Android app designed for chatting with your iPhone friends.
Once you sign up, your number will be magically transformed into an iMessage number. It will even appear blue to your iPhone pals. From there, you can send and receive iMessages to and from your contacts, complete with the coveted blue bubble and end-to-end encryption.
iMessage on Android has gotten a lot of attention over the past few weeks. Nothing, the company behind the?Nothing Phone, launched Nothing Chats, an app dedicated to equalizing the messaging scene, but it ended up?being removed due to “security and privacy concerns.”

Apple even gave the world a glimmer of hope when?it announced it was bringing RCS to iPhones?but alas, no change to the bubble status quo.
Here’s hoping Beeper Mini can be the exception. The founder,?Eric Migicovsky, has a good track record, having previously launched the?Pebble?line of smartwatches (acquired by Fitbit) way back in 2008 or as Eric says?"before they were cool."
