Our second-annual Re:Imagine conference is set for December!

Building on the incredible success of last year’s event, all ImagineX employees will travel to Atlanta for a two-day extravaganza. This conference will be filled with insightful breakout sessions, engaging discussions, networking opportunities, and team bonding activities. This year, we are excited to conclude the conference with a spectacular holiday party featuring a "Casino Royale" theme. We can't wait to host all of our employees in Atlanta for Re:Imagine 2024!

Do Your Part to Secure Our World

At the start of this year's Cyber Awareness Month, I was in Washington, DC with a group of cybersecurity professionals at an event hosted by?The Cyber Guild recognizing leaders that are making impactful contributions to "Securing Our World" (this year's theme).? What amazed me was the breadth of leaders - from non-profits?that promote cyber careers for women and minorities to public sector cyber warriors defending our country from harm's way to private sector colleagues securing the largest companies in the world.? I quickly realized each of us, in our own capacity, has a part to play in cybersecurity.

On a personal level, I help friends and family members with the most basic and practical advice on how to secure themselves from ever-evolving threats - strong passwords, enabling multi-factor authentication, or?training?your eye on how to recognize a phishing email.? Small actions and a dose of informed, proactive vigilance can go a long way to reducing risk.

At ImagineX, our team is very passionate about cybersecurity, and do their part every day.? We are in the midst of conducting internal Cyber Awareness training for our entire team to secure our own environment.? We educate and train our practitioners on how to work in a secure manner when performing client work.? This month, my leaders and I are travelling all over the country meeting with our clients, understanding their challenges securing their environments, and offering our suggestions on how to optimize cybersecurity spend with risk reduction.? Our practitioners are on the front line engineering solutions that optimize how our clients measure, communicate, and eliminate risk.??

As cyber threats get more and more sophisticated,?are you doing your part to "Secure Our World'?? I truly hope so.

Project Spotlight: Machine Learning Cybersecurity Solution for a National Pharmacy Chain

The client’s cybersecurity team was trying to build a modern reporting and analytics solution to support their vulnerability risk management program. One of the challenges their cybersecurity team faced was visibility into vulnerabilities across different assets with data sourced from multiple platforms like ServiceNow and Qualys. Solving this challenge required identifying and linking IT asset data using ML/AI technology to link and dedup records across those data sources.

Client Objectives

  • Find a solution to automatically link the asset data across multiple data sources, such as Qualys, ServiceNow, Archer, etc.
  • Improve data quality by reducing redundancy and inconsistency across different data sources
  • Scale the system to handle large amounts of data (e.g., millions of data records) across different data sources

ImagineX's Approach

ImagineX collaborated with the client’s cybersecurity team to implement a solution, utilizing natural language deep learning technology. This initiative formed part of the client’s broader vulnerability risk management project. Within one month, IX successfully identified high-quality training datasets and selected suitable large language models (LLMs). IX streamlined the ML training process and designed an optimal state architecture that seamlessly integrates with the client’s Azure infrastructure environment and ETL pipelines. The final solutions enabled automatic data linking across multiple sources, minimized data duplication, enhanced data quality, and facilitated efficient vulnerability risk management processes.

The Result

  • Significantly diminished the manual effort required for data linkage, deduplication, and data quality enhancement by automating the processes with AI/ML Entity Resolution (ER) technology
  • Reduced the complexity of overall data processing and system maintenance (e.g., ~100 lines of codes vs. 2000+ lines of codes on decision rules)
  • Improved the vulnerability risk management system efficiency (e.g., 30 mins to dedup 100K+ data records), scalability (e.g., millions of data records per day), and effectiveness (e.g., accuracy score 99.99% on Qualys datasets)

ImagineX Gives Back

Our Atlanta-based team recently spent a meaningful day volunteering at Solidarity Sandy Springs Food Pantry, supporting their mission to provide food and essential resources to those in need within our community. Giving back holds a special place in our hearts, as we believe that strengthening our community starts with compassion and action. By working together to lend a hand, we were able to make a direct impact, helping to ensure that families have access to the nourishment they deserve. This experience reinforced our commitment to community support and reminded us of the power of coming together to make a difference.
