Imagine the Possibilities

Happy New Year, all! It's been awhile since I've written, I took a little hiatus and now I'm back! I had the opportunity to see the movie, The Greatest Showman, starring Hugh Jackman, loosely based on P.T. Barnum's life. WOW! It was one of the best, most entertaining movies that has a fabulous soundtrack and is woven with beautiful messages about humanity. I strongly recommend this movie.

Sitting there in the dark, I pulled out a paper and pen as I did not want to forget one of the lines in the movie: A million dreams is all it takes for the world we're gonna make. That immediately got me to thinking on this 2nd day of the new year. What am I gonna make in this world this year? On New Year's Eve, I decided not to make a resolution, rather, I chose to write down a few changes I'd like to make during the next 365 days. At the end of day 1, I had already missed on two of those items! What does that tell me?

Isn't "resolutions" really about commitment? I took the time to ponder the next 365 days, I took the time to write down changes I wanted to make but I did not commit to doing them! You see, words and thoughts matter, you might recall my story on WRRMs-What Really Really Matters! All of the items I wrote down matter at some level. When I really study my list, two things stand out that really, really matter to me personally and those are the two that did not get the attention they deserve. Right now, right here, I commit to sticking with those until complete! The others, while they matter, they don't really fill my passion in life.

So, I ask you-what are your WRRMs that are possible? What dreams do you have that need your attention? What are you gonna make in this world over the course of 2018? I'm gonna finish the quilt my mom started that has been promised to my granddaughter-it is tedious and time-consuming but it really, really matters to her and that really, really matters to me! When I'm not working on the quilt, I'll be looking for ways to help others create their best life. Now you know my passions and dreams-family and helping others.

Need help figuring out your dreams for the world you're gonna make? I'm available! Make it a Great-One-Eight! Denise

I love that you focus on What Really Matters to Me instead of What's your Goals. Dreams and helping others is so important, yet often put aside. Happy New Year and thanks for the recommendation for the movie - been wanting to see it.
