This month we launched our Generative AI Practice and released the first version of the Generative AI Map .

Our Generative AI Map is a tool created to help businesses understand the Generative AI landscape and potential use cases. This map enables enterprises to quickly identify AI products and services that best fit their needs, navigating these tools and services by content type, business function, and five technical categories:

• Generative AI Models: This is a class of artificial intelligence systems designed to create new data, content, or designs based on input data or specified parameters. These models generate various outputs, such as text, images, music, and complex designs, by learning patterns and structures from massive datasets. Examples of popular generative AI models include GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer), DALL-E, and StyleGAN.
• Generative AI Cloud Services: These are publicly available services or APIs granting access to generative AI models. One example is ChatGPT, which provides access to GPT models owned by OpenAI through a chatbot interface or API.
• Generative AI Mashups: These services connect multiple models and enable complex workflows. Examples of these are Toolformer and AutoGPT .
• AI-Native Products and Services: These are products or applications that use Generative AI embedded within their features and workflows. The user benefits from the models without seeing the implementation details. Examples include Notion.AI , Uizard , and GitHub Copilot .
• Data and Integration Services: These are a combination of data services, APIs, and middleware services that enable applications to interact with the rest of the components in the AI landscape. This layer facilitates the construction of business logic and data storage, allowing applications to control how data flows into Generative AI services to produce the best experiences for end users within the applications.

According to a report by The Brainy Insights , the Generative AI market will grow from USD 8.65 billion in 2022 and reach USD 188.62 billion by 2032. Another report by McKinsey shows that AI adoption has more than doubled over the past five years, and investment in AI is increasing at a similar pace.

SkyQuest's analysis shows that by 2028, AI will contribute $15.7 trillion to the global economy, with $6.6 trillion coming from increased productivity and $9.1 trillion from consumer surplus.

Generative AI is set to disrupt the knowledge workers and creative industries. These tools are already improving the productivity of some of these jobs, boosting developer productivity, and enabling 55% faster coding (GitHub Copilot ). AI has the potential to increase the productivity of knowledge workers more than 4-fold by 2030 —I believe this is a conservative estimate—. In the Big Ideas 2023 report, Ark Invest analysts highlight that "at 100% adoption, AI could increase global labor productivity by ~$200 trillion, dwarfing the ~$32 trillion in total knowledge worker salaries."
