Imagine a place where flawed people can worship together without wearing their masks, without fear of reprisal. Where each individual was held in the highest possible regard, and allowed to contribute thoughts, share illustrations, offer examples and ask questions about the passage of scripture being brought before the congregation. Imagine that the gathering was indeed a corporate dialog instead of a monolog, where everyone’s contribution was not only welcomed, but encouraged. Where adults, teens and even children all have a voice in the gathering, and are exhorted to hear the Lord’s voice and share what they hear with the congregation. 1 Cor 14:26-27
Imagine impacting the Kingdom by partnering with other ministries, who are already performing at high levels of excellence, and never having your church name mentioned in any way. Imagine a gathering not purchasing all of the high dollar technology, building the plush building, and filling the budget with paid staffers, but rather, offering key ministry and leadership roles to regular attenders who are called, gifted and anointed. Imagine having an elder group made up of all volunteers who were passionate about their church, and were filled with the wonderful and powerful Holy Spirit. They had a pathway through discipleship into being a disciple maker who made other disciple makers. Matthew 28:18-20
Imagine a gathering of believers who were committed to each other spiritually, emotionally, and yes, even financially. A gathering who were passionate and intentional about sharing their faith, led and empowered by the Holy Spirit in every venue of life. Because of their great love for God, their love overflows into the lives and hearts of others. Imagine a group of believers who were so intentional about reading and studying the scripture, that they couldn’t wait until the next gathering to share what the Lord is showing them, so they didn’t…they shared it with whoever would listen. Imagine BEING the church, instead of GOING to church. IMAGINE…
