Imagination Is Your Power

I walk into the office of my prospect, a lawyer, whose business I'm trying to earn. The lawyer is out, but her assistant, Carina (not her real name), greets me and remembers me from previous visits.

After my usual spiel, it turns out Carina is about to take the bar exam in 4 days, and she is just so tired.

Between her 11-year-old, and work, and reviewing, she is just spent. And her spirits are down.

She doesn't even want to show up to the exam. This isn't the first time she's taken the bar exam you see, nor the second, (you get the picture).

The teacher in me comes out of nowhere, and I know that she will only fail, again, if her mind is constantly spiraling down with thoughts from her previous "failures."

I have to give it to Carina. Failure only IS if you stop. Carina hasn't.

But her thoughts are preceding yet another failure, if she doesn't intervene.

And,

It. Must. Be. Turned. Around.

It must!

What would it look like if you DID pass?

You've put in all that hard work all this time. You're due!

You get the results in a month. And the results in April say that you are now a lawyer. Woo hoo!

Where's the party? What's the celebration going to be like? I'm sure there will be more than one. How are you feeling with everyone congratulating you?

How would your daughter feel about her lawyer mom? What would she be saying to you? Imagine that glint in your loving daughter's eyes when she looks at you, beaming with pride!

And finally, you're not the assistant at your office anymore. Your boss is now your partner.

What is she saying to you? You'll finally get that office in the back. How will you decorate it?

And because you and your partner are such epic lawyers, you're now opening yet another branch.

You're oozing with success!

And your dreams of MO. are next.
