Imagination.

I have a vivid memory from when I was 6 or 7 years old. I was in my last year of ‘Infants’ at primary school, and a group of older children were preparing for a school play. Their dance, ‘The Dance of the Leaves,’ captivated me.

Every day, instead of playing with my friends, I would watch them practice through the glass door of the school hall. I loved the way they moved in sync and wanted to be part of that group more than anything. But I was too young, and the group already had all the dancers they needed.

Still, I watched every practice and visualised myself on that stage. Every night, I dreamt about being one of those dancers, imagining the costume, the cheers from the audience, and how it would feel to be part of the performance.

What I didn’t realise at the time was that I was manifesting my dream into reality.

A week before the show, one of the dancers sprained her ankle and couldn’t perform. The teacher, needing a last-minute replacement, remembered the young girl who had been watching every day. Without hesitation, they asked me to step in.

On the day of the show, I became the 8th member of the dance group, living my dream exactly as I had imagined it. The costume, the audience, the dancing—it all felt just like I had envisioned.

Some might call it coincidence, but I choose to believe otherwise.?

As Einstein said, “Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.”
