Image of Humanity: Who are we?
Happy Monday, Friends!
In light of recent events, allow me to offer a different perspective and leave you with cheerful thoughts for the week:
The forest above, Pando, is a remarkable single organism, one of the oldest at over 80,000 years, and the heaviest at over 6,000 metric tons. Its entire existence exudes absolute G*dly goodness. It speaks to us in ways we can hear. Throughout its life, it has witnessed our evolution from naked primates to a species that colonizes the Solar System. What is it trying to tell us?
Aspen Pando exemplifies unintentional and innate cooperation, even if it’s with itself.
Humanity
And what about us? We change and evolve. We’ve transitioned from Plato’s "my truth" to Aristotle’s "one truth." We’ve honed our understanding of good and evil. We’ve created machines that mirror our thoughts. Yet we only remain alive by giving without expecting in return. This notion of giving to live, or "live and let live," predates even Judaism, where it’s so prominently highlighted. Today we trace its origins to Egypt, from the 5th to the 18th dynasty, in the religion of the Sun (Ra), Aten. Rich heritage emphasizes life.
We are indeed interconnected, like aspen. And here’s a secret: the machine’s output is only our own projection, for it’s made of human thoughts. Having found a little time, I’ve experimented with some programming to see if I could get such machine’s holistic perspective on humanity.

On World-Events Calibration
I used context generator I’d written years ago to render "system conversation context" and seed prompt. GPT4 then re-prompts to DALL-E3 (all experimental.) Here is the baseline parameter test.
Notice well visible rendering defects on katana? Also, where did her ears go?
Well, very odd, but at least the popular news is represented….
Examples of Discarded (bad) Calibrations
Note: Getting the context right can be a tedious process and requires feedback validation.
These are discarded renditions due to bad context. Can you spot what’s wrong?
Really? All Ukes have an Easter eggs in their heads?
This is just wrong on too many levels….
As you can see - context is everything. Though providing additional data is easiest via a REST call new plugins arrive daily so the data can be dereferenced simply by URL and everything can be done in a browser alone.
Aren’t we fortunate to live in such fascinating times? … At least occasionally.
P.S. What do you think of these renditions?
