I'm writing 10,000 words a week (without AI)

Last night I had a dream about AI. It was pretty intense and upsetting.

Robots were taking over humanity, and we were forced to self-destruct. Of course I had to be a hero in my own reality dream. I advised my family and friends to fight it out and escape together.

Trust me, my heart was pumping. And I couldn't wait to wake up from nightmares like this. Thanks to the baddest robot in my dream, Jasper, who was going to knock down my house.

That's when I woke up.

Jasper? I immediately recognized the name in my sleep, and that's Japse.ai, the AI writing tool.

Why am I sharing this? Because I want to incorporate a bit more of my personal life, and behind-the-scenes moments into my weekly emails. Including what I'm about to share next, which is writing and publishing 10,000+ words a week.

As you can see on my blog, my producer German and I have published over a dozen or so YouTube and AI-focused articles, all original content, non-AI articles. This latest one, 12 Ways to Monetize on YouTube (ranked and compared), has over 4,000 words.

I'm drafting 3 more posts today after this newsletter. :)

When I became a podcaster in 2014, then a YouTuber in 2019, I didn't focus much on blogging. Audio and video content creation not only came natural to me, but they are also less competitive than writing, which still is the case today.

German and I made the decision to drop Squarespace after 8 years and switched over to WordPress as of August 2022. I can't begin to tell you how daunting it felt at the moment. I wouldn't have done it on my own given there were over 1000 pages and posts, including podcast show notes.

Yes, the learning curve for WordPress can be intimidating. But I see every struggle as a way to learn and share. For when you need to switch over to WordPress, this article might help: 14 Must-Have WordPress plugins Every Creator Should Know.

So, if I keep going and blog regularly, writing over 10,000 words weekly, what will happen? Hope you'll join me on this personal and professional journey, and see it through with me.

With love, everyday creatives.

Fei

Ps: on the lighter side, my podcast live stream is ongoing, and most recently I interviewed the lovely Rosemary Ravinal to talk about "How to speak, engage and persuade as a bilingual creator and speaker. Check it out.
