In fact, I think that all the personalities working to promote energy-efficient renovation of private homes in France and Europe are being singled out in this way.

That's why I'm asking you to take part in the vote: EUSEW Interactive

Leading the transition of the energy renovation market to the scale of the climate challenges is a collective and ambitious objective being conducted under the orchestral leadership of the European institutions and all the Member States.

To achieve this, we need to define and create a new profession that will support all (co-)homeowners in their plans to renovate their own homes, by giving them access to appropriate financing that takes due account of the public budget.

These developments are taking place across Europe, with the EU Peers community of practice.

In France, this work is carried out through a public service: France Rénov'. The 'Espaces conseils France Rénov' offer an independent information and advice service, and since 2024, there have been government-accredited 'Mon Accompagnateur Rénov', so that people can rely on a trusted third party right through to the completion of the renovation work and the follow-up of results.

Third-party financing companies have been pioneers in this field for over 10 years, taking a local approach and including financing for renovation work as part of their offering. They have joined forces with Effinergie and Pouget Consultants to form the SERAFIN network. SERAFIN network in video

SERAFIN network has developed its own guidelines based on best practice and drawing freely on more than 60 existing schemes to guarantee the quality and performance of renovations. The aim is to share it and develop it with all the other stakeholders in this new profession. SERAFIN network is also responsible for the FIDEO-Banque de la Rénovation Energétique project, a financing company serving contractors and financiers of high-performance renovation of private homes.?

I'm a finalist in the "Women in Energy" category, and it's important to me that there should be parity between men and women and a social mix in providing support for efficient renovations, which represents an opportunity for a new professional life for tens of thousands of professionals in Europe...

Today, I'm surrounded by inspiring personalities, both men and women, who are committed to their local areas, regions and cities. As my venture partner Sébastien Descours pointed out to me, like a shoal of fish, our community is resilient. It evolves by avoiding the opposing currents of short-termist sectoral interests, building common ground and public policy tools that are as beneficial to the climate as they are to the cohesion of our societies.
