?? I'm Trying to Solve My Real Problem Related to Investing in?Stocks

Pre-Story

Investing is mostly my “hobby”. I like reading about investing, doing stock research when I have time, comparing different stocks and trying to predict the future (fair) value. Some of my favourite investing books: “One Up On Wall Street”, “A Random Walk Down Wall Street”, “Invest Like a Guru”, and “Rule #1”.

Since I started this “hobby” about 5 years ago, I was able to realise important concepts of investing like “economic moat”, “margin of safety”, “ROIC is crucially important”, etc. I collected a list of resources I use to analyze stocks and make predictions. It looks like this:

I realized that I seeking the same thing on all those resources and then trying to put them together. Again, some things like “Average ROIC for last 5 years” or “Next 5-year EPS forecast”. Is it familiar? ??

It was the reason why I decided to combine my “hobby” (investing) with my professional field (web development)?—?to create a project to solve my real problem. BTW here I have remembered a cool book that I advise you to read?—?“Rework”. Solve your problems!

The Problem

All essential information to make a quality long-term investing decision is located in different places (resources) and requires me to switch between them. As you can see in the picture above, it requires me to do research through all those resources. BTW, it’s only part of the list ?? I feel a lack of “One-Pager for a stock I’m interested in”. Just one page with essential information will allow me to quickly make the first decision.

The Solution

Conclusion
