I’m a test engineer at CAL Consult

Hi, my name is Yessica. I’m a test engineer at CAL Consult Ede, and I am currently testing the user interface of our newest application CALsuite. I have been working here for more than five years, and it was my first job as a software tester. I did not have any experience as a software tester, but CAL Consult provided me with enough support and opportunities to be able to develop myself as a skilled UI tester.

I greatly enjoy my work, and also enjoy doing it here at CAL Consult. It is a friendly environment and all the colleagues are very willing to help you out when you need them. Not only on a professional level, but also on a more personal level.

Being a UI tester at CAL Consult means I get to work on different issues throughout the day. These issues differ a lot in regard to their level of difficulty and this keeps me on my toes! At the same time I get to learn a lot about the process regarding logistics. After five years there is still so much to learn about this topic.

It is also great to see changes in the UI that you had a direct say in. It might be a small change like a label, or a bigger change, like a general work flow in the application, but in both cases your opinion is appreciated and taken seriously. You really do make a difference with the job you are doing at CAL Consult.
