For Yamini, representation in tech is more than just a concept—it’s a mission born out of personal experience. “As an immigrant woman in tech, representation isn’t just a buzzword for me – it’s about transforming the faces and voices we see at every decision-making level,” she says.
Yamini recounts walking into her first class as a Java trainer and facing a room full of male engineers. Fast forward to 2024, and she still finds herself as the only woman in many Blockchain technology meetings. The lack of diversity and inclusion in tech, even today, serves as a stark reminder of the work that lies ahead.
“In 2024, we shouldn’t even be having these conversations about gender and ethnicity in tech,” she remarks. “Talent, innovation, and leadership have no gender, color, or nationality. That’s the future I’m working toward.”

2 个月AnitaB.org It is hardly shocking, and though I regret to say it, this trajectory was anticipated—especially in the United States and in nations that emulate its cultural paradigms. We are regressing, and it is imperative that we galvanize our efforts in response. Now, more than ever, we must unite, uplift one another, and courageously stand in solidarity for all women. The call to action is clear: it's time to roll up our sleeves and get to work, because the stakes have never been higher.
