I'm still broken from Friday . . .

Friday was “brunch day” here with the training team in Saudi, and let’s just say my muscles are still reminding me of it.

We kicked things off with a brutal circuit of wall ball squats, box jumps, single-arm overhead presses, burpees, and 800m runs on repeat for what felt like…well, forever.

After that?

It was team brunch! Then we had two workouts back-to-back and my abs are still feeling that one today.. ouch! And to top it all off, we then did almost 3 hours of jiu-jitsu, where a BJJ coach came on site to show us how to “choke each other out” (in the name of fitness, of course). We finished with a team BBQ, and it's safe to say I slept like a baby after all that! This team vibe here has been a game-changer for my overall fitness. There’s something about training together in a team that pushes you to go beyond what you thought possible. I’ve found myself doing things I wouldn’t normally do – and feeling stronger for it. My cardio fitness is probably the best it's been in over 10 years since coming here and that 100% wouldn't be the case if i wasn't training in a team environment. The point of this email ?

A reminder to surround yourself with people who lift you up and push you forward. Whether in fitness or life, a solid team can help you break through limits you didn’t even know you had. Alone, you might slow down, but with the right people beside you, you’ll find yourself going the extra mile! Until next time!
