I'm So Glad We Had This Time Together!

I remember as a kid watching The Carol Burnette Show. To this day when I see a clip from that show, I still laugh and can recall the laughter, especially from my mom at the various skits. I believe that she is one of the funniest people to ever live and that show will always be a memory I think of fondly.

If you remember the show, they closed every episode by singing the song "I'm So Glad We Had This Time Together". I remember the cast would sway back and forth with their arms around each other as they sang to us audience members thanking us for the time together, a time of fun and laughter.

One of the stanzas of the song is as follows:

"That's why I'm glad we had this time together, 'cause it makes me feel like I belong. Seems we just got started and before you know it comes the time we have to say, so long."

It is hard to believe, but it was a year ago I started the Life Design Newsletter here on LinkedIn. My hope in doing so was that this newsletter would help, and dare I think inspire, those who read it to live their best life possible and start doing so by getting back to whom God created them to be . . . a person who is fearfully and wonderfully made in His image. I hope that has been accomplished if even only for a few.

However, the time has come when I must say so long to the newsletter and to those who have subscribed. It is not that I do not believe in Life Design or its principles, I certainly do and hope you will continue to design your best life possible. But, as a part of my own Life Design, I am continually prioritizing that which I have time for and that which I need to relinquish.

Much has transpired in my life over the last year and I am continually amazed at what has unfolded and am excited for what lies ahead (more on that in the next few weeks on my daily LinkedIn posting). But for now, there is only room for so much and so I need to step away from my Life Design activity and content and focus elsewhere.

I do hope that through this newsletter you have felt a sense of belonging. I pray that you have a strong community in your life that keeps you from isolation. I do thank you for the last year and the comments and encouragement you have provided. I will still be on LinkedIn, just not in the form of this newsletter, but I can tell you that I am so so glad we had this time together.

Thank you to all and may you design a life you love to live each day!

On the journey with you,

I will miss your thoughtful observations in this newsletter, Carlos, but understand the need to prioritize time. Thank you for making time for this.
