I’m a Product Designer. And what’s your superpower?
Smaato (Now part of Verve)
Digital Advertising Technology Platform Built for Publishers. Driven by Data. Revolutionizing Experiences.
Why Product Design? How did you end up in this profession?
Product design allows me to keep myself engaged from the product idea to its release. A product designer not only focuses on user experience, but also on the business needs. I love to communicate and that is one of my strengths. I research people while they use digital products that lack a good experience. Then I create some of the best designs for them.
I worked as a Microsoft Windows support executive for about a year. While communicating with most of the end users I found that many do not know what the windows key on a keyboard does. Strange, isn’t it? But it’s true! That’s when I started observing and researching more about products in detail after that. And my journey into the design domain began.
What do you do at Smaato? How does it make an impact?
I focus on making a great user experience and user interface for our partners so that they can focus on their advertising and monetization goals.
What were the most fascinating recent projects you worked upon?
We at Smaato believe in delivering the best experience to our users. On a recent project, we focused on accessibility to not only help our publishers but also the end-users. We are so happy with the end results which will eventually deliver better results for our publishers.
What’s your current biggest challenge?
We already have the best product in the market for the publishers and marketers. Creating the best out of the best is a challenge, isn’t it?

What’s your favorite story while working at Smaato / or best day at Smaato?
We all know it’s hard to connect with your colleagues in this tough time, especially when you join a new company. I love the way I connected with the team. With every new person I talked to at Smaato, either I offered some work or they reached out to me. I never felt that they were new to me. All the employees I met were so productive and respectful.
How do you spend your free time?
I read articles and play with my little one. He never keeps us free :-)
What would you recommend choosing this career path to young professionals ?
Definitely yes! If you have a passion to work for people, then close your eyes and jump into the UX and UI career.
