I'm out at 30K Connections as Per LinkedIn's User Agreement. Thanks / Muchas gracias og Tak skal du have
In late Nov. 2022, I was informed by?a genuine LinkedIn 'I am a robot,' that I've reached my 30,000 connection limit - accumulated since I signed on with LinkedIn in 2012.
A limit of 30k connections?
Really?
So?
So what?
No.
I accepted / searched for people that mirrored my interest in the broad and ever-expansive food manufacturing sector.
30K in 10 plus years.
Have you taken the time to read LinkedIn's 5 3 2 rule?
LinkedIn lays claim - for optimal feed back that if you publish 10 posts per week then:
5 of those 10 post should be content from others that is germane to your hand-picked audience.
3 of the post should be content from you that is germane to your audience - but not sales focused.
And the remaining 2 post should be personal, fun content that helps humanize your brand.
Actually 30K or just 501 - 1000 connections is an utter adjuration - in more ways than one.
Many others have hit that insurmountable - 'Great & Mighty 30K Wall' - after I googled -
How many connections are allowed on LinkedIn?
Up to late Nov. 2022, I became accustomed to that dependable / quotidian Sandy Koufax fastball - right smack down the fat part of the LinkedIn diamond plate.
But others and I were thrown a 'perceived by many' nasty curve ball that hit the outside black tip of home plate with the 30k connected limit.
... but selected others and myself had a series of experienced winner take-home epiphanies.
2022 Latino connections nurtured on LinkedIn - including too the EU and Down Under grew plentiful for me in 2022.
2022 was an International whip cream feast - with one fell sweet swoop that sometimes included those prized red maraschino *cherries {*subscribers} at the crest.
Connecting with people with similar business interest is simply not quantifiable.
Highlighted below is a recent / typical / myopic complaint typed by an international teacher who hit LinkedIn's '30,000 No Trespassing Limit' that was unearthed among others within my Google search.
The complaints certainly differ - but LinkedIn's catch-all rejoinder was always the same and spot on.
Hi, I'm the teacher who founded?007.org. Our nonprofit has a large alumni network (~60,000 people) and is used by hundreds of schools around the world. As a result, I have a lot of professors and former students connect with me on LinkedIn.
I recently hit what appears to be a limit (30,000 connections) and the platform isn't allowing me to accept more.
Please remove this limit for me so I can continue to interact with our nonprofit's students and our professors. Thanks for your fast help with this. Please let me know if I can provide any more details that will help you with this.
And here's LinkedIn's rote rejoinder:
I understand and appreciate your eagerness to grow your network on LinkedIn. However, the LinkedIn User Agreement and Professional Community Policies state that members should only connect with individuals they know and trust. Due to this policy, it's in everyone's best interest to have a maximum connection limit in place. To help you maintain an effective network size and ensure an optimal site experience, the maximum connection limit is 30,000. This limit cannot be increased or modified for any of our members.
To connect with others, please review your current list of connections and remove those that may no longer bring you value. Once your connection count is below 30,000, you should be able to add more. Learn how to remove connections here: https://www.dhirubhai.net/help/linkedin/answer/49
As an ongoing practice, it would be beneficial for you to constantly manage your connection list and to only maintain those that bring you the highest relationship value.
Thanks for using LinkedIn's Networking features and for your assistance in making LinkedIn a professional and trustworthy site.

So there you have it.
I don't have the time nor an inkling to check (weed-out) 30K connects that brings me "no value" - as per LinkedIn's suggestion.

Looking closer into how to optimize your LinkedIn post - as per LinkedIn
We all have our own unique LinkedIn assigned - Social Selling Index (SSI) - that's based on a top score of 100 that recalibrates daily / weekly on how effective or ineffective we are with LinkedIn's - 'Four (4) Pillars to Successful Posting' encompassing our own particular / unique forum.
Pillar #1 - Create a Professional Brand
Pillar #2 - Find the Right People
Pillar #3 - Engage with Insights
Pillar #4 - Build Relationships
The maximum score for each pillar is 25 for a grand total of 100.?
Know that LinkedIn awards those who complete their profile by increasing the number of people who shall view your content. Likewise, the higher your SSI score, the higher your reach.
Reach relates to the number of people who shall view your initial post - so it is fundamental / indispensable / vital to your LinkedIn success. Depending on LinkedIn's clandestine trigonometry algorithms - your subjectively deemed "popular post" can be viewed as long as five (5) days in 2023.
A Top profile has a reach of X 1.5 above an "Intermediate profile" and "the Lesser Beginner" profile suffers a minus reach penalty of X 0.5
An SSI score equal to or greater than 60 has a positive effect on your reach; anything below 60 has a negative impact on your reach.
Users with a SSI score greater than 90 have an X 1.5 increase on their reach.
For a point of reference - my SSI numbers on LinkedIn are listed below - as of 01/01/2023.
Furthermore, people (connections) within my chosen industry have an average rank of *37 out of 100.
And people (connections) in my LinkedIn network have an average of *34 out of 100 as depicted in the graphs above.
*Which should be expected because of the many 'Ghost members' who only occasionally visit LinkedIn.
Here's a snapshot at how I've fared with each of LinkedIn's Four (4) pillars.
Pillar #1 scored me at 21.72 out of 25 - Establish ones professional brand. Complete your personal page profile with the customer in mind. Become a thought-leader by publishing meaningful posts.
Pillar #2 scored me 9.47 out of 25 - Find the right people. Identify better prospects in less time using efficient search and research tools.
Pillar #3 scored me 14.45 out of 25 - Engage with insights. Discover and share conversation - worthy updates to create and grow relationships.
Pillar #4 scored me at 25 out of 25 - Build relationships. Strengthen your network by finding and establishing trust and decision makers.
Many LinkedIn connections involve more and more bilinguals - but ask anyone who speaks and writes in multiple languages what they most prefer to read and can comprehend more easily.
Many, not all, prefer their native language.
As recently mentioned - my LinkedIn post shall be in both Spanish and English in 2023 - on separate days, and when relative, Danish.
In reality, it's an easy and crystal clear call - to call.
And there is no mention that I could find googling, that LinkedIn comments / ops on publishing in multiple languages. I received in 2022 and thus far in 2023 roughly the same amounts of views per post - English vs Spanish - however, I received more comments and especially emails from the Spanish sector.
I've learned more from interactions from people like you - who holds similar food manufacturing concerns / aspirations as I do - than I could ever give back.
30K connections?
Means nothing - because much to everyone's 30K delight - subscribers then becomes the default option on ones profile which - remains limitless.
And unknown others shall ask you to subscribe to them
My subscriber rate (pictured above, bottom right, in blue font) has gone up quicker since late Nov. 2022 when I reached the 30K connection limit.
Selected 1st, 2nd and 3rd level LinkedIn members knew they could circumnavigate the 30K limit by subscribing to the person one originally wanted to connect with.
Now that's an?interchangeable win-win if there ever was one -
. . . while sowing more mustard seeds.
There's a number of other clever suggestions of how to enhance your LinkedIn experience.
Let your fingers do the walking on your dusty keyboard by typing away on google search to your questions.
