I'm now known as Intentional Impact

Hey everyone!

You know that feeling when you start something with good intentions, and then it turns into a monster that eats up all your time and creativity? Yeah, that happened to me with this newsletter, the Weekly Thought!!

I thought the name would keep me accountable (and it did), but then I started comparing myself to others and feeling like my content wasn't good enough (and I started to resent the accountability!)?? so I started to add all sorts of bells and whistles to make it more valuable, but that just made things worse.

I found myself editing myself to suit others, and writing became a chore instead of a joy.

??Plus, not sure if you notice but the world has changed recently and what fitted then, doesn’t fit where we are heading now.?

Plus, what if I had more than one thought a week? Or what if I had no thoughts at all? It was a recipe for disaster.??

Lesson learned: don't name your newsletter something that will make you feel like you're stuck in a rut.?

The newsletter is changing from Weekly Thought is Intentional Impact. The name reflects the belief that success doesn't happen by accident - it takes intentional effort to stand out in a crowded market and achieve sustainable growth.

Being intentional means having a clear vision for your business, the courage to take calculated risks and try new things, and a commitment to constant improvement. It's also about being open to feedback, embracing change, and knowing that you are not alone -?I am with you on your journey.?

So, while I can't promise you a set schedule for Intentional Impact (let's just call it "regular ad hoc”??), I can promise you this:

it will always be packed with real value and purpose, with the goal of making an immediate, positive impact. No fluff, no BS, just good stuff. I’ll keep the content to around 300-350 words. (345 word in this article, excluding this sentence!)

What do you think of the new name?

Let me know in the comments – I’m excited to hear your thoughts!

Make every day

Oh, I love this! We've all been there - started out with good intentions, been swept towards what we thought others wanted to hear, and ended up in a place that wasn't where we wanted to be. I'm less than "regular ad hoc” - more like once in a blue moon ??

Good work - do what you believe to be right and don’t be afraid to change if it’s not working - that’s behavioural flexibility !! Catch up soon, been way too long !

I can 100% relate to this as a content creator, Gordon. Great reminder that it's OK to give yourself permission to make a change if something's no longer working. Love the name!
