I'm not good at goodbyes...

Today was my last day with Otis Elevator Co., and yesterday marked the 10 year anniversary of my first day of my first INROADS internship with Carrier. At the time, I had no clue that it was just the beginning of what would become a decade-long journey within the United Technologies family.

Over the last decade, thanks to these organizations, I have been afforded so many incredible opportunities. I was able to live in four different cities, hold eight different positions, earn an MBA and HR Analytics Certificate through the Employee Scholar Program, travel domestically and internationally, and the list goes on and on. I am forever grateful for all of the experiences these organizations provided as I figured out who I was both professionally and personally.

I would be remiss if I didn't thank the countless advocates, mentors, managers, co-workers, and ultimately friends that helped to teach and shape me along the way. I want to especially thank Cindy Madison and Kristine Bankowski for believing in me back when I was just an anxious 19-year-old intern trying to find my voice; and Wayne Boyington for being a consistent mentor, advocate, and friend throughout my tenure with the organization. There are so many others that have positively influenced and impacted me during this time that I won’t even attempt to list all of their names because I would undoubtedly miss someone. But I know that you all know who you are, and please know that I truly appreciate all that you have done.

Normally I would have something witty to say about the things that I saw, the people I met, or the places I had been. But, today is actually an emotional one for me because I am saying goodbye to an organization that has been such a large part of my life, and really, the only organization that I have known. I am forever thankful for the experiences I was able to have and for the confidence these experiences gave me. Without them, I wouldn’t have been able to even fathom making this move and embarking on what is about to be the next chapter of my professional career.
