Sorry to be blunt about this, but you need to know the truth.
It’s a common misconception that recruiters can find jobs for everyone who contacts them.
The Reality of Recruitment?
Recruitment firms focus on finding candidates for their clients’ job openings (clients as in companies). Recruiters do not find jobs for people!
When you call or email a recruiter and ask if they can help you find a job, they can only do so if one of their clients has a job opening that matches your experience and skill set. Recruiters must be focused on their clients’ needs. That is how the business works.
I do apologize if I am just stating the obvious, but trust me, most people have no clue about how executive search firms and recruitment agencies work.? And why should they??
My confession
I feel compelled to share my frustration and sadness about not being able to help every person who reaches out to me in their job search.
Believe me, I have deep empathy for the challenges that candidates encounter in their job-hunting journey. Often totally ignored by companies who don’t bother replying to their email or a telephone call. ……….By Tom Sorensen, Headhunter

My secret
Because, before entering the world of recruitment, more than 20 years ago, I was a candidate who suddenly found myself between jobs.
Yes, once upon a time, I was an ordinary candidate who experienced almost every job search faux pas in the book.
No headhunter wanted to talk to me when? I? called,? they didn’t return telephone calls when I left messages with an assistant or on voice mail, and nobody bothered to answer emails either. Aaarrrgghhh.
My commitment
Once a day and for many years, I have time blocked to talk to anyone who likes to talk to me.
People reach out to get my advice on the job market, current compensation and benefits, how you make a CV into a Resume, and how you profile yourself on LinkedIn so more people will call you.
So, my commitment is that I will continue to provide support and guidance whenever possible, despite the constraints of my role as a recruiter.
My advice
Perhaps you are between jobs or you are employed but looking for a new opportunity.
In any case, may I encourage you to stay resilient and proactive in your job search, knowing that the right opportunity is out there waiting for you.

5 个月"recruiters" are paid by who ? Organisations ! They aren't paid by candidates and will always be on the hiring manager side. As a manager this is what I expect. If you want someone to find you a job use some "outplacement services"
