Another Week, Another Drop in Values
For the 15th week in a row, overall used car and truck values depreciated again at what Black Book called a "level of decline still exceeding what is typically experienced this time of year".
Leading the drop overall was the car segment, pushed by prestige luxury #cars that lost 1% of their value, or $449, the largest dollar amount adjusted this week.
And while the overall depreciation of #trucks and SUV, from a percentage standpoint, was less, the dollar amount adjusted was higher overall at $178, $35 more than cars.
Sale percentage was also down last week, dropping 1% to 55%, continuing the slide from the yearly high of 73% in May. Black Book thinks the drop had to do with #hurricaneian as "some #auction locations temporarily" closed.

2 年My guess is... nobody, Mike B., nobody's laughing... My question is, when we return to a BC market (before Covid), and "inventory costs are choking us", along with "not enough people coming through the door" once again become the main conversations, what's going to happen to this new class of salesperson who only know word tracks such as, "take it or leave it", "we have a lot of other buyers for this car", and left them standing alone in their parking lots? ?? Thanks for sharing this uncomfortable truth.
