I’m all about Wellth Management.

I take so much joy in the fact that I finally have time to manage my wellness.
It’s taken a bloody long time to get to this point.
It’s been a struggle, tbh. Not knowing you have ADHD till you’ve done 50+ years on the planet – yup, I wouldn’t recommend.
But, somehow, I’ve survived.
And even sometimes thrived. (That’s what Floreat means, btw – ‘may you thrive, blossom, and grow.’)
So, how is any of this useful to YOU?
I see you.?
I’ve walked miles in shoes just like yours.
Busy mum. Working full-time. Juggling birthday/Christmas lists/parties/presents/cards/sports kits/shopping lists/meal planning – the endless unpaid labour of so many women.
Having ALL the rows about all the things.
No time to breathe, let alone consider your needs.
Getting up early to work. Staying up late to work. Working lunchtime, obviously. Goes without saying, right?
Walking the dog because it won’t occur to anyone else, and/or it’s too much bother to ask someone else – it just needs doing. Now.
Desperately trying to fit it all in and still be a decent human/wife/mother/employee/leader/colleague/rugby mum/citizen of the world (did I get the order right???) – and failing so many times.
It sucks. Synne Lindén , you know just WHAT it sucks. ??
And the going round and round and ROUND in your head and wondering how it is for other people. OMG. Kill. Me. Now.
Wondering if it’s just you thinking and feeling all this. Whether other people are just getting on with all of it, without half the stress you're feeling.
Or if maybe, just maybe, there’s someone else out there who’s just like you who might have some answers.
I’ve worn the t-shirt.
And now I know better.
Does the knowing come with age, or with experience? What do you think? Or with the time to actually crash down from the treadmill once in a while and take a moment to breathe and reflect?
And the knowing better means doing better. That’s become my mantra. (One of many, right?)
So, in this last newsletter of the summer (See you in the Autumn term, folks!) this is my dream for you.

?? I dream of a simple, uncluttered, joyous, EMPOWERED time, where you thrive. Blossom. Grow.
?? I dream of a you who knows what you need; who isn’t afraid to stand up and require it of those in your world.
?? I dream of a you going into your future with the knowledge you need to look after yourself, in all the ways possible.
?? I dream of a you who’s full of the fun you might feel you’ve missed out on along the way.
?? Who has all the battery power, the joy of being alive, the pizzazz, of someone in their twenties. Because why not?
?? I dream of a you who walks your walk with positivity, equanimity, and capacity.
Note: The word itself, capacity, ultimately comes from the Latin verb capere, to take or seize. That verb gave us the noun and the idea of having the capability to ‘bear greatly’.
And that’s what we do. We bear the weight of so much, constantly.
Day in; day out; endlessly, till there’s no fight left in us – our daring has got lost in the washing mountain we’ve still got to deal with.
I dream of a you who knows it’s your time. Who’s ready for a new walk. A you who dares greatly.
I dream of the you that was always meant to be.
I see you. I look at you and I see everything you can be.
My August’s all about Wellth.
Specifically, mine, and my dog’s.
(And, ok, there’s maybe a little bit of something for the boyf and the boys. And my mum. And my friends. And LinkedIn and business development… ?? Bonus for me: all of that feeds my wellth absolutely. Let's hear it for reciprocal, mutually beneficial relationships.)
What’s the great news for you?
I’ll be doing what I do – checking in here every day to see who wants all the above.
Creating my garden wellness space, curating my calories, feeding my mind and my soul, and giving myself everything I need.
Giving myself ALL the good things. Because why would I not?
Dreaming of a wonderful summer for all of us,
With love. ??
