Imagine walking through a pitch-black room. You reach out, trying to find your way, but all you do is stumble—bumping into furniture, knocking things over, feeling lost and disoriented. This is what happens when the world outside doesn’t match the mental map inside your head. When our understanding of reality is flawed or incomplete, we navigate blindly. Fear takes hold. Conflict arises. Chaos ensues.

So, what do we do when we find ourselves in the dark? Do we grasp for control through force and domination? Or do we seek clarity, discovery, and light?

The answer lies in how we choose to see.

Like many before me, I ventured into the unknown when I began my research on the Foundations of Social Math?. The answers I found give me hope and optimism amid all the uncertainty we’re facing today.
