Illuminating Our Journey Forward
October was a month full of light at Terra Caribbean, both in the figurative sense of professional growth and community engagement, and literally, as we celebrated Divali in Trinidad and Tobago—the festival of light. This theme of illumination was reflected across all our activities, each serving to guide and empower us, our clients, and our partners toward success.
Our agents recently completed another round of Sales Training with Michelle H. , who has worked with the Terra team as a coach and consultant for much of 2024. Michelle, a seasoned expert with over 30 years of experience, specializes in empowering businesses to thrive through strategic partnerships and the development of high-performing teams. With a background in business development, leadership, and customer retention, Michelle’s approach focuses on refining sales strategies, promoting collaboration, and instilling a culture of continuous learning. This latest session, facilitated by Michelle and her associates Larry Tai Chew and Clinton Corbin, continues our commitment to providing our team with innovative sales techniques and tools to elevate their performance. Our agents are now better equipped to understand the emotional intelligence behind the psychology of buying and selling, and to practice effective client engagement techniques.
October also offered us the opportunity to continue our involvement in the community. Real Estate Agent Andrea Barry , presented at CUNA Caribbean’s 8th Annual Wellness Month celebration. Andrea spoke on the benefits of homeownership and was joined by fellow agent, Adrian Sampson , who also shared valuable insights. Homeownership is not just about property investment; it’s about building a sense of security and belonging. Andrea and Adrian’s presentations underscored our belief that owning a home can be a powerful foundation for well-being, stability, and personal growth—a message that aligns with our purpose of supporting every client through an informed, positive real estate journey.
Also, in the realm of community engagement, reflecting our attention to personalized service, we presented a notable project, produced by Marketing Lead Evelena Julien and featuring Ranjana Sarran-Persad called “Hindu Homes,” at the height of our local Divali celebrations, a social media video series, where Ranjana shared how her Hindu faith intertwines with real estate. Through this series we sought to highlight the importance of understanding each client’s cultural and lifestyle needs. It also served as a reminder that, in our multicultural society, recognizing and appreciating diversity is key to offering relevant, client-centred services.
As we reflected on these accomplishments, we were reminded of the Divali celebrations that illuminated the month of October. The festival, which celebrates the victory of light over darkness, is a powerful reminder of our ability to conquer our own struggles and to help illuminate the paths of others. In a professional sense, this is what we strive to do every day at Terra Caribbean—bring clarity to the real estate journey and guide our clients with insight and care.
With October’s activities behind us, we look ahead with a renewed sense of purpose. The idea of illumination—overcoming darkness and sharing light—guides our work and relationships, helping us support each client and partner with dedication, understanding, and respect.
