Illinois Small Business Advocacy Council is ready to help you

For my business owner friends in Illinois. I've been a part of the SBAC almost since it's inception. I've found both the networking and advocacy to be beneficial and you can join us at no cost.

Here's brief video from our founder, Elliot Richardson:

Here is what they are fighting for:

  • Is fighting to help the small business community recover from the COVID-19 pandemic;
  • Is a non-partisan, policy-driver organization that advocates for the small business community
  • Strives to level the playing field for small businesses
  • Championed legislation to lower among the highest LLC fees in the nation with that legislation passing in 2017
  • Made it easier for Chicago homebased businesses and eased administrative burdens for Chicago’s small businesses
  • Is currently working to pass a tax credit for small businesses that retrain and hire individuals who have lost their jobs or businesses because of COVID-19
  • Is working to provide relief to property owners hurt by the pandemic because their small business tenants are unable to pay rent
  • Has convened a bi-partisan task force focused on stabilizing property taxes
  • Is fighting for minority contracting reforms
  • Is working to ensure that TIF funding is used to bring financial institutions into disadvantaged communities
