I'll predict what you like before you know it... Natural Language Processing (NLP).
Welcome back, Linkedin Fam!
Basic Recap?(We'll keep repeating this until it comes naturally to us :) - 'AI helps to build intelligent machines that perform tasks that would otherwise require 'Human Intelligence
In our?previous edition, we discussed Decision Trees.
Today let us discuss Natural language processing (NLP):
Do you ever wonder how Siri, Alexa, or Google Assistant are able to understand and respond to our voice commands ??? Or how Netflix recommends movies and TV shows that we're likely to enjoy? The answer lies in the exciting field of Natural Language Processing (NLP).
So, what is NLP ??? In simple terms, NLP is the technology that allows machines to understand and interpret human language, both spoken and written.
It's a subset of Artificial Intelligence (AI) that enables computers to communicate with humans in a more natural and intuitive way.

?? Here's an example of how NLP works in practice. Let's say you want to book a flight for your upcoming vacation. You go to a travel website and type in "I want to fly from New York to London on July 15th." With NLP, the computer can understand your intent and extract important information such as the departure and arrival locations, and the date of travel. It can then provide you with relevant flight options that fit your criteria.
NLP has a lot of practical uses beyond booking travel, such as:
- Sentiment Analysis: NLP can analyze large amounts of text to determine whether the sentiment is positive, negative, or neutral. This is useful for businesses to track customer feedback and identify areas for improvement.
- Language Translation: With NLP, machines can translate text from one language to another, making communication across different languages easier.
- Chatbots ??: NLP is used in chatbots to allow them to understand and respond to human language in a conversational way. Chatbots are commonly used for customer service, scheduling appointments, and providing information.
The possibilities with NLP are endless, and it's exciting to see where this technology will take us in the future.
That is it for today :). Until next time ??♂?.
