I’ll be there, with a love that will shelter you

The elixir of getting social media right takes many forms and it’s plethora of channels and audiences to engage with can be confusing and often misunderstood, difficult to love and be loved by those you hope to pursue and be followed by.
Many business’s wonder why they have low engagement scores in obvious social spaces such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter etc, and often the uncomplicated fact is that they have not encouraged their employees to be the human element of their online activity.
So... for what is possibly my shortest blog advice slice ever: simply choose the 1 to 3 social channels that suit your business needs, make it professional and personal mixed use, select those you feel relatively confident in and...
...JUST BE THERE!
It’s sometimes that easy, being present as an employee and employers encouraging employees to be involved helps. Simply responding to other users posts and showing genuine interest with your own voice (authenticity rules) is often all it takes to grow your engagement scores. Having some great content of your own to share does help of course, even some regular commentary on a subject you are strong on – turn that brain power into social prowess.
There, all you need to do now is head off into the electronic sunset singing of the authentic care you’ll show to your audience’s, followers and anyone else that’ll listen:
“Now if you feel that you can't go on
Because all of your hope is gone
And your life is filled with much confusion
Until happiness is just an illusion
And your world around is crumblin' down
Darling, reach out, come on girl, reach on out for me
Reach out, reach out for me
I'll be there, with a love that will shelter you
I'll be there, with a love that will see you through”
You’ll now be singing that all day!
