I'll give you something to cry about!
Top of the weekend my friends! When I was a mere wisp of a lad my mother would say "I'll give you something to cry about". Whenever my sister didn't get her way. Noticed I said my sister?
Anyway, I'm reminded, “Be careful what you ask for because you just might get it and everything that comes along with it”!
Did you know our brains are wired in such a way to influence us to act before we can properly consider the consequences of our actions? According to the Physiology of Anger.
Stress and anxiety of this kind of nature is also a factor that increases domestic disputes and child abuse. As well as other life frustrations. "I'll give you something to cry about".
Anger can affect a person the same way as drugs and alcohol by preventing logical and rational thinking. There’s a lot of ill-rational thinking going on now a days, isn’t it?
Before we get into that bad karma moment. Remember who ever makes you mad or scared, controls you!
By now it should be obvious, we enjoy focusing on the negative. Which is why for the past year, I’ve adopted this motto “Worry about nothing and Pray about everything”. After all 80% of the things we worry about never happen! Right?

When we are experiencing a lot of stress and anxiety. We tend to “have a bad day” on just feelings alone. If you let those little annoyances build up throughout the day. The next little provocation can result into losing your religion!! Help ‘em Lawd!!!!
For instance, how about the driver who all of a sudden cuts in front of you? They shouldn't of done that!. Now you got to let them know it!! It almost ruined, your good day!!! You “could've" had an accident. But wait you didn’t! Plus tell the truth, you really didn’t want their phone number and insurance company anyway. Now did you?
The next time that happens to you, say these 4 magic words. It works every time. Now say them slowly with me “I’ve done that before”.
You have you know? You didn't see them. You saw them but was about to miss your turn or you just didn't care. Good thing too! Since "they" didn't have to call Ben or Thomas J for your insurance company too!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep this in mind. The imperfect cannot expect perfection out of others. “I'll give you something to cry about"!
Personal question, How grateful are you? Let's find out. Your prayer was answered! Hallelujah!! Now how long did it take for you to ask for something else? If your normal less than 24 hours. That’s why your children (and grandchildren) will do the same thing to you! Payback!
I’ll closing, for the next 40 days. Be more thankful !! It could be a lot worse you know? Don't let the little things become bigger than they should? Remember to say "I done that before". If not, your Heavenly Father might just say “I'll give you something to cry about"! Donut ever forget it.
Been there, right DD!

6 个月Thanks Dewayne. Great commentary. I have been there and done that. Timely reminder of the value of having the right perspective when things happen. Shower the situation with grace not anger.????
