I'll always be a PF Warrior!

I still remember the early days eight years ago when we first came together as a PF Warriors support group united by our shared experiences of living with pulmonary fibrosis. We were a small group, but we had a powerful vision of what we could accomplish if we worked together. And over the years, we have done just that. Our motto of patients helping patients was true then as is?today.

Together, we have shared our stories, offered each other support and encouragement, and advocated tirelessly for better treatment options and greater awareness of PF. We have raised funds for research, organized awareness events, and brought our message to communities across the country.

Through it all, I have been inspired by your dedication, your resilience, and your unwavering commitment to making a difference. You have shown me what is possible when people come together with a shared purpose and a determination to make a positive impact on the world.

As I step back from my active leadership role in the PF Warriors, I want you all to know how much you have meant to me over the years. You have been my rock, my source of strength, and my inspiration. I will always be grateful for the time that we have shared together and the incredible things that we have accomplished as a group.

My focus will be on raising awareness and helping patients and families live with pulmonary fibrosis, as it has always been.

I have no doubt that the PF Warriors will continue to grow and thrive in the years to come. Your impact on the PF community of patients, caregivers, and families and on the world at large is immeasurable, and I have every confidence that you will continue to make a difference in the lives of patients living with this disease. I am personally thrilled with the appointments of Teresa Barnes and Dolly Kervitsky to executive leadership positions. Teresa Barnes will serve as the prominent face and voice of the organization. At the same time, Dolly Kervitsky will join as its president, guiding the day-to-day activities and executing programs to benefit the PF community. We have shared a marvelous journey together over the past eight years. It has been a true joy and privilege to watch this support group grow into the incredible force for patients living with pulmonary fibrosis that it is today.

Thank you all for everything. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve alongside you.
