Concerning the Internship Program at IIT Bhubaneswar Applications for the internship program are open to students enrolled in a government-funded technical institution, students referred by different academies, and students interested in doing an internship or using laboratory or other academic facilities or short-term training at IIT Bhubaneswar in the areas of Earth, Ocean & Climate Sciences, Electrical Sciences, Infrastructure, Mechanical Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences and Management, and Minerals, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.

Important Information Following selection, a hard copy of the application form and the necessary paperwork, both of which must be signed by the student, must be turned in when the student begins their internship at the appropriate Institute school. If available, hostel accommodations may be offered to the students chosen for internships upon payment of the necessary fees. Only after being chosen for an internship should the application for accommodations be sent to the Dean of Student Affairs for approval via the HOS and the faculty supervisor. The student is responsible for covering the cost of food and other facilities. After the internship is over, the student must turn in a report detailing their work, and they will receive a "Training Completion Certificate."

The duration of IIT Bhubaneswar's winter vacation is between three and four weeks (the institute's winter vacation runs from November 30, 2024, to December 31, 2024).
