IIMA Angel Network: Dynamism in Times of Dislocation

IIMA Angel Network was kicked off by the London Alumni chapter of IIM Ahmedabad on 15 August 2018. Since then the Network is channeling the skills of the alumni community to help, mentor and assist growing startups. Upcoming Event

Our upcoming event will be on Wednesday 24 June 2020 5.30 pm BST. In this event we will connect Participating Start-ups with IIMA Angels. Such Angels bring investment capital, as well as specialist skills for example as advisors, execs or non-execs.

We expect to select four Participating Start-ups for this event, each of which will have an opportunity to pitch for support. The theme for this event is Dynamism in Times of Dislocation in economies and communities globally. So the start-ups selected will be focused on Creating the New Normal through vital sectors like personal finance, small and medium enterprise finance, gig economy and digital industries.

IIMA Alumni London

IIMA London Chapter is over 400 strong. It is built around the aims of networking in the community, building the brand for IIMA and its alumni, as well as philanthropy. It is one of the most active alumni chapters of an Indian institution in the UK. The Chapter is chaired by Gaurav Jain, an experienced investment banking executive.

IIMA alumni are leaders across sectors driven by a vision of excellence, leadership and high performance. This vision is best achieved by collaboration, and the IIMA Angel Network is an avenue for that.

IIMA Angel Network

IIMA Angel Network is guided by the IIMA Alumni London Chapter. It was founded by Somil Goyal and Balram Pal (both 1997 batch of alumni). They are joined by Bhupin Gupta (1997),  Sanchay Singla (2012) and Ravi Topno (2003) in organising this event.

The Network channels the community’s engagement with start-up’s primarily in areas related to disruptive technology, sustainable development and climate change. Reflecting the wishes of the community, we engage with start-ups creating an impact in the UK, in the UK-India corridor, as well as in international business. However the Network is non-prescriptive and provides a platform for all appropriate high-growth start-ups that wish to engage with the community. The Network welcomes interested start-ups and angels beyond IIMA alumni. IIMA Alumni Association London Chapter or its members do not get commercial benefits from the Network.
