IIIT Allahabad to launch new 5-yr dual degree management course|education today

The Indian Institute of Information Technology-Allahabad (IIIT-A) is gearing up to introduce a unique integrated (dual degree) management programme. This new course would allow class 12 passed students to enrol for a five-year course that would allow them to earn a BBA and an MBA (IT) degree after getting admitted on the basis of a single admission test, said IIIT-A officials.  Being started under the national educational policy (NEP)-2020, the course “NEP-inspired Integrated (Dual Degree) Programme in Management—IT (IPM-IT)” would offer the students three separate exit options too: Leave with a BBA degree after three years, opt out with a post graduate diploma in management after year or stay and complete the course and earn the dual degrees after five years, they added.  The course ordinance and its curriculum have already been approved by the IIIT-A senate—the institute’s top decision-making body for all academic affairs. "Now the proposal will be put before the Board of Governors in their next meeting for final approval before its launch ,"said IIIT-A director Prof P Nagabhushan.
