Ilhan Omar is distraught about "what kind of country we are becoming," but I am bullish on America

Representative Ilhan Omar rallied a crowd gathered together yesterday at a press briefing on USAID curtailment. She shouted about Elon Musk and stirred attendees by probing, "what kind of country are we becoming!?" The answer, America, is—hopefully—a more prosperous, prudent, efficient, and respected one.
USAID was originally created to aid in the protection and promulgation of "individual civil and economic rights and freedoms" and "assist people in developing countries to?eliminate hunger, poverty, illness, and ignorance." But for decades, American's hard-earned tax dollars have been flushed down endless toilets for projects that do not advance these noble principles.
Instead, USAID has wasted enormous amounts of money on radical agendas that do not align with American values. According to the White House, USAID has spent massively on completely unwarranted, partisan pet-projects like:
?? $1.5 million?to “advance diversity equity and inclusion in Serbia’s workplaces and business communities”
??$70,000?for production of a “DEI musical” in Ireland
??$2.5 million?for electric vehicles for Vietnam
??$47,000?for a “transgender opera” in Colombia
??$32,000?for a “transgender comic book” in Peru
??$2 million?for sex changes and “LGBT activism” in Guatemala
??$6 million?to fund tourism in Egypt
??Hundreds of thousands of dollars?for a non-profit linked to designated terrorist organizations — even AFTER an inspector general launched an investigation
??Millions?to EcoHealth Alliance — which was involved in research at the Wuhan lab
??“Hundreds of thousands of meals that went to al Qaeda-affiliated fighters in Syria”
??Funding?to print “personalized” contraceptives birth control devices in developing countries
??Hundreds of millions of dollars?to fund “irrigation canals, farming equipment, and even fertilizer used to support the unprecedented poppy cultivation and heroin production in Afghanistan,” benefiting the Taliban
By-and-large, this type of spending not only weakens American influence across the globe but peddles morally bankrupt crusades as "American righteousness" which they most certainly are not. And the election of 47 should drive that point home for politicians and activists still wondering whether this is the type of "aid" Americans want to fund with their paychecks. USAID has squandered American wealth, and if the above list provides even a modicum of insight into the ROI we should expect from its endeavors, the agency should undergo a massive overhaul.
USAID is an Executive Branch agency. And since the President is tasked with the constitutional mandate to ensure that the laws are "faithfully executed," I hope he continues to chip away at the waste, fraud, and abuse that has far-too-long occurred within the "Fourth Branch of Government."
If we can expect more of this in President Trump's second term, I'm betting on America :)
