DigiPlus Interactive Corp. has had a super successful year in 2024, doubling its user base to 40 million and making a profit of 5.2 billion pesos ($90.8 million) in the first six months of the year—a huge 377% increase from last year. With its federal gaming license in Brazil and favorable regulations at home, this company is well-placed to continue growing.

Indonesia

The Indonesian government has made giant strides in curbing people's access to online gambling. The money people spent on online gambling fell from 21 trillion rupiah, equivalent to roughly $1.29 billion in today's terms, in the first quarter of 2024 to just 4 trillion rupiah in the third quarter. The crackdown on online gambling by the government has been most effective, and more than 5.7 million pieces of online gambling content have been removed from the internet.

Thailand

A recent poll in Thailand found a strong majority, 69%, were against allowing online gambling. The government is thinking of opening casinos and allowing online gambling as a way to generate more income from tax and create tourism jobs. Many are worried, however, about the possible negative results from online gambling, such as people becoming addicted to it and committing crimes.

Police in Thailand have arrested one of the most popular singers, Oil Saengsarn, for advertising online gambling on social media. The problem is showing up more frequently that social media influencers take part in online gambling. To that effect, the government has set up a special task force to arrest this problem and warn the people against the dangers of online gambling.

Singapore

The Singaporean government has been effective in trying to prevent people from accessing illegal online gambling sites; they blocked more than 3,800 sites and halted a suspicious $37 million worth of transactions. However, the government still faces challenges as new online gambling sites keep mushrooming thus making it very hard to cope with the problem.

India

Fun88, an online gaming services provider in India, just upgraded to the new version with a welcome bonus of 388%, faster transactions processing, and a bigger choice of games on the platform. The company also partners with famous cricketer Dale Steyn as an ambassador in order to have more users engaging in the activity.

Puerto Rico

Aristocrat Gaming, a casino game maker, just debuted its new slot machine game, NFL Triple Score, in Puerto Rico. It is a big deal, as this is the first time such a game is let out of the mainland of the United States. The game offers players options to choose among various NFL teams and a progressive jackpot starting at $20,000. Brazil
