The if / why & when of a re-brand!

RE- BRANDING - IF, WHY, WHEN! 3 QUESTIONS:

1) Should I re-brand?

Give your brand a new look!

Every brand must re-create itself, even if gently. One of the most iconic companies that comes to mind when thinking of a brand is Coca-Cola. This brand is memorable for many reasons. However, what you may not know is the amount of times it has changed it's look over the years - check this link to read about the interesting journey!

We therefore believe the answer to this question is YES.

2) Why should I re-brand?

As noted above, we would suggest every company will require re-visiting it's brand continually. The 'why', is important.

The main factor for 'why' I would argue is: ENGAGEMENT. What was ripe in 2016 may not be ripe in 2019. Trends change, visuals change, dynamics change, moods change. Along with this change, should be the aspiration in any company to ENGAGE with a continually evolving landscape.

Customer engagement is more than just staying in touch with customers on Social Media, Email, Search Engines, SMS or in Person - it is also the way you link your company image within that context.

Customer engagement through branding is key!


3) When should I re-brand?

There is no definitive answer to this - however, we suggest a regular yearly review at least! It may not mean a total overhaul, but it may mean a slight change to a slogan, a slight colour tweak or it could mean a total new start.

The 'when' depends on a few factors -

  • When did I last take a look at my branding?
  • How is my business doing financially?
  • Am I getting more incoming enquiries through my website?
  • Does my company reflect the current modern trends?
