IFHIMA Congress & HIMAA Conference Special Issue

Beautiful Brisbane, Australia, was host to the 20th Congress of the International Federation of Health Information Management Associations (IFHIMA), in collaboration with the 40th National Conference of the Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA), on 30 October–1 November 2023. The event was attended by 550+ delegates from 30 countries, sharing their knowledge and experiences in alignment with the Congress theme:?Advancing global health: In pursuit of high-quality digital information.

To commemorate Australia’s hosting of the Congress, this Special Issue of the?Health Information Management Journal?(HIMJ) presents a collection of articles from each of the IFHIMA (WHO) Regions. On behalf of my co-authors of the introductory Editorial for this collection, Catherine Garvey (HIMAA President) and Vicki Bennett (IFHIMA President), it is a privilege to present this demonstration of HIM skills and professionalism in this Special Issue of HIMJ.
