IF

IF - a 2019 political Manifesto for the Movement for the Independence of the North of England (MINE).

As MINE is not contesting any seats in the forthcoming elections it would be disingenuous to put forward a Manifesto of what we would do if elected. We know most of the other parties have little trouble with this conundrum but MINE is genuinely different. Not only are we certain not be elected by not contesting a single seat, we also have no interest in doing so. So could MINE put forward a Manifesto of what we would do if things were different and the Movement were a credible electoral force? Again, we could, but that runs contrary to the aims of this movement, which has no interest in being governed from and by the South and therefore MINE cannot possibly contemplate collaborating with corrupt parties in a corrupt system.

MINE therefore offers a Manifesto for ‘a route to The North’ and suggests that anyone voting and sharing our views considers the following:

IF you live in England and wish to see an independent North of England, and you are happy to spend an unknown number of years living under the rule of a deranged despot then you have 3 options:

  1. Move to the US or North Korea and watch from afar.
  2. Vote Conservative or Brexit Party and watch as the Union is torn apart easing the way for what remains of Little England to splinter and the Mighty North come to pass.
  3. Vote Labour, then vote Leave in the referendum, watch as the Union is torn apart easing the way for what remains of Little England to splinter and vote in Johnson or even worse Rees Mogg at the next election and repeat the above.

IF you live in Scotland and wish to see an independent Scotland, then you have 2 options:

  1. Vote SNP. Whoever wins UK wide will find themselves facing a tidal wave for indyref2 along the way. Watch as the Union is torn apart and an independent Scotland is inevitable at some point down the line.
  2. Vote Conservative and watch as the Union is torn apart easing the way for what opposition there is to indyref2 to fade into the embers of time.

IF you live in Scotland and wish to remain in a Union ruled from London, then you have 2 options:

  1. Move South of Hadrian’s Wall (any future border may be disputed).
  2. Vote Conservative. Watch as the Union is torn apart easing the way for the SNP to demand indyref2 and when they are refused to declare Independence. Watch proudly as SNP Leaders are tried and imprisoned for treason by a Johnson led nuthouse as the rest of the world, and in particular the EU, watches on. Please see Spain and Catalonia for recent precedent.

IF you live in Scotland and wish to see an independent North of England, and you are happy for the English to spend an unknown number of years living under the rule of a deranged despot then you have 2 options:

  1. Vote Conservative.
  2. Vote Brexit.

IF you live in Wales and wish to see an independent Wales then you have loads of options:

Vote for anyone but Labour. Whilst we can explain the reasoning here, we believe Manifestos should be brief and to the point so invite anyone interested, and we suggest there are not that many of you at the moment, to work it out for yourselves.

IF you live in the South of England. Hard luck. We feel sorry for you. Move North. MINE is not prejudiced and promotes open borders.

And last but not least:

IF you live in the UK and wish to have a better future, greater local democracy and more hope and opportunity ahead then you have only 2 options:

  1. Move abroad. But think very carefully about where you might move.
  2. Stop looking to a corrupt system to solve this for you. Vote with a clean conscience this time around, then get involved in something after (or even before) Election Day. Join XR. Join any other active political movement or start your own. Create a groundswell for change. But whatever you do, DON’T abstain, DON’T spoil your ballot paper, DON’T forget to vote and please, please DO NOT think, ‘Things can’t get any worse’! Because they can and they might well. Whatever else you decide, DON’T vote Conservative or Brexit, even if like MINE, you seek independence and autonomy. Such independence is a very long way down the road and it will be the most unimaginably horrible journey.
