Having a good university degree guarantees people a good job.

To what extent do you agree?

Universities are considered as the temple of education where students acquire knowledge in terms of skills, values and so on, which play a paramount role in someone’s success and university’s degree is the authentic document of someone’s ability. However, some opine that a degree from a good university ensures a good job for the people. Here, I partially agree with the statement.

To begin with, universities provide all essential skills, which make a person sharp and competent, and degrees act as a threshold for someone’s career on account of manifold reasons. Firstly, the degree is proof of someone’s intellectual knowledge and learning, which also raises the credibility of an individual, thereby one can easily get a good job. On top of that, in good universities, students learn and indulge themselves in various activities, which broaden their imagination and they also become creative. For instance, it has been found in many surveys that students who go regularly in universities, they have more academic knowledge than others.

On the other hand, universities degree are not only the mere criterion for getting a good job, rather there are many other things which are required for securing a good job. Firstly, universities degrees are the mere certification of theoretical knowledge, but when it comes to the job then one needs to have practical knowledge such as communication skills, leadership skills and so on, and these skills one gets by experiences. Besides this, a person’s ability to tackle and handle various situations also plays a vital role in getting a good job.

In conclusion, I opine that degrees define someone's capability, therefore, one should not take it for granted.
