IEEE Weighs in on 5D and UWB
5D is starting to move its peer to peer positioning and behavior solution into multiple markets. By working with partner companies that represent the best and the brightest, we are making steady progress without having to build the vehicles, pay for the installation or provide the service. This strategy is paying dividends so far within heavy equipment, automotive, aerial and smart mobility. Almost every enterprise-level task can be made safer and more efficient with accurate, reliable positioning.
Recently, IEEE did an article on 5D and its pioneering use of UWB. The article reads well and we really appreciate the perspective. One important point we'd like to make in reference to the article is that our focus is not just on UWB but on safety, reliability and value. We believe that adaptive positioning is the key. UWB is a vital tool in the toolkit, but we want everyone out there to understand that our reliability, flexibility and value comes from our ability to fuse the various forms of positioning: GPS, optics based localization, UWB and inertial sensing. Our adaptive positioning is what enables us to get from Point A to Point B in any environment.
