IEEE Quarter Tech Talk Table Series | What, Why & How?

IEEE Quarter Tech Talk Table Series | What, Why & How?

Many in my network always ask me "Why do you do what you do in IEEE so passionately?" and this post highlights one of my very favourite-community activities which I have been doing since December 2020.

I always believe in below quote and which keeps me moving to Philanthropy more and more, day in-out, month to month & years to come:

"The power of God is with you at all times; through the activities of mind, senses, breathing, and emotions; and is constantly doing all the work using you as a mere instrument."- Shri Bhagavad Gita

How did we start this Event?

Post graduating from my Bachelor's School from HMR Institute of Technology and Management , Delhi affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Delhi in 2019 and post-joining 维布络 Limited, Bangalore > I got to meet my colleague (now close friend) - Shailesh Prabhu with whom together we thought of starting something impactful as an IEEE Young Professional.

That's where we got connected with Dr. Prashant R. Nair & whole IEEE Region 10 Newsletter who inspired us to do something impactful to share voice to other members in IEEE & non-IEEE community gradually to spread awareness on trendy technological unanswered questions.

How did we decide on the Event Name?

As IEEE Region 10 Newsletter comes every quarter and we are tech-geeks, so we thought of doing a 2 Hours of Panel Discussion on Tech-Topic namely > IEEE Quarter Tech Talk Table Series. Since we started in December 2020 virtually (in course of ongoing global pandemic - COVID-19), we continuously built our audience and reach. This helped us to sustain and start Hybrid-Session along with fully in-person with IEEE Entities' support and sponsorship.

Why did we start this Event?

As a high-school & graduate school kid, I always had a passion to understand how technology & engineering can make difference to society. However, I didn't have any connections in Industry or any industrial-based program which I would utilise to expand my horizon.

As soon as I became industrialist/young professional, this turned to me as a responsibility with pure-intention of impact-creation to the ones who're in school now and aren't getting opportunities to talk with us. Thereby, this idea of event came into our minds.

What's the impact so far created through this event?

Highlighting about the stats, we have covered around 1750+ Participants (in all domains including Pre-University, University & Professionals along with retired engineers) across 21 Countries (virtually and in-person). This made us complete a recent edition i.e., 15th one in Singapore Institute of Technology , Singapore which you can take a glance at: IEEE QT3 15.0 Report.

Editions hybrid/in-person covered almost 9 Universities/Colleges as marked here: IEEE QT3 Impact-Map (Don't forget to click on each to see a glimpse photo from that edition) ??

Along with that, I can't miss of the IEEE Membership increase we did i.e., around 50+% in every edition because of our important segment - IEEE Membership Development Session.

What's next for you in IEEE QT3?

As we move towards new year - 2025, we are approaching towards a sustainable plan for IEEE QT3 planning & operations so that we have less waste of resources with effective impact created. Thereby, we call upon you as an organization/representative of your educational institution to join our hands and nominate for 2025 Editions at: https://bit.ly/CallForHost_IEEEQT3
